Prof. Morjand lodges complaint against Akali Dal (Badal) to Jathedar Hawara

:dateline:Vice President of Rajasthan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee, Prof. Baljinder Singh Morjand, has sent a complaint against Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) to Akal Takhat Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara, who was appointed by Sarbat Khalsa 2015. His complaint is regarding a violation of the Sikh code of conduct.

Prof. Morjand sent the complaint to Jathedar Hawara through the�acting Jathedar, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand. He wrote that the Badals committed a violation of the Sikh code of conduct during their conference in Anandpur Sahib on March 23, when�Sukhbir Badal participated�in�Holi with his�head uncovered. The complaint�sent by Prof. Morjand reads:

�I want to apprise you with the violation of Sikh code of Conduct committed by Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) during their political conference in Sri Anandpur Sahib on March 23. Media reports have revealed that the activists of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) were wandering inside the tent of conference with boots despite the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib there. The leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) also ate meal on tables in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Similarly, the photos of President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Sukhbir Singh Badal playing Holi with bare head have gone viral all over the world, which has sledgehammered the Sikh identity. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee has kept silence over the issue.

So,I humbly request you to take strict action against Sukhbir Singh Badal for committing violation of Sikh code of conduct and SGPC President Avtar Singh Makkar for permitting the serious violation of Sikh code of conduct committed by Akali Dal President Sukhbir Badal.�

The photos revealing the violation of the Sikh code of conduct were published by the Punjabi vernacular newspaper �Rozana Pehredar�. ��
