:dateline:Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand will likely be released from Nabha Jail�on March 27.�Bhai Papalpreet Singh appealed to Sikhs across Punjab to arrive outside Nabha Jail at 10 AM on March 27 to welcome Bhai Mand�at the time of his release.
Bhai Mand was arrested shortly after he gave a speech�to Sikh Sangat at�Akal Takht Sahib following the Sarbat Khalsa. �He had been�appointed as the acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib by the Sarbat Khalsa in absence of Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara.
The Punjab Police had raided the house of Bhai Mand earlier in the day, before his speech.� A number of his companions�were arrested, however, he was able to escape the arrest and was�successful in delivering a statement from Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
Kuldeep Singh Dabhali of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) stated that Bhai Dhian Singh Mand�s actions during the speech�after Sarbat Khalsa made the entire Sikh nation proud.� He said that Bhai Mand courageously gave a fitting response to the Punjab Government on Diwali when he called for a boycott of the Akali Dal.� �This led the Punjab Government to arrest several Panthik leaders under sedition charges,� he said.
