Satkar Committee: Drugs Being Sold at Hola Mohalla Samagams

Bhai Khose and other Satkar Committee Singhs

ANANDPUR SAHIB, Punjab—Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khose of the Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee has levelled charges against the SGPC for not checking the vendors at Hola Mohalla smagams.  He alleged that drugs and other types of intoxicants are being sold by SGPC approved vendors in allotted places.

He said that while “bhang” is openly sold at such places, this year, other types of intoxicants are also not being controlled.  He said that alcohol, smack, and other drugs are being sold openly and the administration is not doing anything.  He alleged that shopkeepers who typically sell jewelry and other things have been caught by the Satkar Committee selling alcohol and drugs.

“We have warned local SGPC officials several times, however they have not shown any interest,” Bhai Khose told Sikh24.  “The Satkar Committee will be carrying out checks if SGPC fails to take action,” he added.

Bhai Khose stated that the Hola Mohalla is a sacred festival of the Sikhs and the SGPC must ensure that such vendors are not allotted space to sell intoxicants.

  1. Ok I will make it Sikhi like for you

Drugs Lords have destroyed lot of Sikh youth of Punjab.
We can handle them with help of

    1) Education of our youth in Punjabi in School
    2) Sikh Parents educating there children’s against Drugs.
    3) Have a Advertisement Blitz against Drugs on Punjabi TV ,Punjabi News papers ,Whatapp ,Face book .
    4) Having multiple Punjab in every village ,city and Country on Earth.

    Happy

    • This is a SIKH website! Why would you get churlish about me pointing out that you have not proposed that the decency, moral restraint, courage, self-discipline, self-respect and self-esteem that comes from Sikhism and which has stopped Punjab being entirely a Muslim population (thanks to your forefathers inability to stand up against the Moghuls) be a problem for you? Oh, that’s right, I keep forgetting you are only posing as a Sikh to try and insinuate yourself on a Sikh website with the intention of emasculating Sikhi. And your silence is deafening in regards to accusations made against the police, politicians and religious leaders you propose should be put in charge of solving the problem – Jagdish Bhola, DSP dismissed for being a drug lord, Bikram Majithia, State Revenue and NRI affairs minister who Bhola claims is kingpin of entire drug racket along with two other Punjab Cabinet Ministers, SGPC’s Makkar who sanctions sale of drugs at Hola Mohalla – your solution is to put the foxes in charge of the hen-house. I suppose you think rapists are best placed to man the front door of women’s refuges too because they have an ‘interest’ in woman?

    • Very telling that not one of your four suggestions involves Sikhi and the religious discipline of moral living that naturally comes from it. I have never touched a drop of alcohol in my life simply because of Sikhism’s instruction against imbibing intoxicants. Far more powerful a message when it comes from Waheguru’s Gurmat than Doordarshan, poor school and hypocritical politicians and celebrities.

  3. The Drug cartel operating in Punjab need the

    1) Police Chief
    2) Political Leaders of State and Centre
    3) All Religious leaders

to put their head together on how to address this problem.

Till then parents need to educate there children from very early in childhood the hazards of drugs and how to avoid it.

    • This problem did not exist in 1984. As for the people you suggest that should address this problem – half of them are implicated in profiting from it! The Police Chief? What the one who has been incriminated by one of his own subordinates in extra judicial killings of Sikhs or Jagdish Bhola, DSP dismissed for being a drug lord? Political leaders? Bikram Majithia, State Revenue and NRI affairs minister who Bhola claims is kingpin of entire drug racket along with two other Punjab Cabinet Ministers? Religious leaders? The SGPC’s Makkar who sanctions sale of drugs at Hola Mohalla? Who do you think you are kidding? Everyone in Punjab knows who the drug dealers and drug lords are and they have zero interest in turning off the tap. You seriously want to get rid of the problem stop trying to castrate Sikhism in Punjab and put Sikh army regiments back in Punjab to seal the border. Drug supply would be dead in a month and addicts would all be recovered in a year with Khalsa’s discipline.

  4. Can anyone truly argue that the SGPC are fit for purpose organisation anymore? Through their auspices drugs are being sold at Hola Mohalla whilst their patron Sukhbir Badal is ‘celebrating’ holi at his residence in direct contravention of why Guru Gobind Singh created the Hola Mohalla festival in the first place. This same SGPC under apostate Makkar is also contending to tamper with direct court evidence – not to mention historical proof – by deciding to ‘renovate’ the Teja Singh Samundri Hall inside Sri Harminder Sahib (the ‘Golden Temple’ to the ignorant and uninitiated, you know who you are) which has been kept as evidence to show the over 1000 crore damages which the SGPC filed (in 1998 under former SGPC head Gurcharan Singh Tohra) in a case against central government in its 1984 attack. Both are pernicious attempts to rewrite Sikh history by an apostate puppet who dares call the Panj Pyare nothing more than ’employees’.
