:dateline:On the16th anniversary of the Chittisinghpora massacre, Sikh activist Bhai Papalpreet Singh stated that the Government of India massacred innocent Sikhs in Chittisinghpora to discredit pro-freedom organizations in Kashmir.
On 20 March 2000, when PresidentBill Clinton was supposed to arrive in India, unknown gunmen in Chittisinghpora killed at least 34 Sikhs there. The unknown gunmen ordered all Sikh men and boys to assemble at the village Gurudwara, and systematically shot and killed 34 of them. Many others were injured in the attack, and at least oneman later died of his injuries. The sole survivor of the massacre was Nanak Singh Aulakh, who recounted the events to reporters.
Papalpreet Singh said that by examining pro-freedom movements going on in separate states of India, it is clear that the Indian government has a pattern ofmassacring innocent people in one community and blamingother communities for it.
Elaborating on the political circumstances of that time, he explained that the Indian government was under international pressure for the immoral activities being committed by Indian military forces in the territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He added that the Indian government massacred innocent Sikhs in a bid to attract the attention of the US President Bill Clinton when he was supposed to arrive in India.
We are discussing about Chittisinghpora Massacre which happened in Kashmir .
1980-1990 Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale -Indira Punjab can easily be solved by Truth and Reconciliation commission.
Again you talk of 1980 as being the starting point when I have told you again and again the problem starts in 1947 when promises made to Sikhs to join India are reneged upon. The Anandpur Sahib Resolutions detailing these Sikh grievances pre-date Indira Gandhi and Bhindranwale and the touchpaper was then lit in 1978 with the deliberate provocation of Sikhs and their state sponsored proxy murder in a massacre at Amritsar.
As for the Chittisinghpora Massacre of Sikhs in Kashmir you have not addressed any of the points raised other than to say in a ‘my country right or wrong’ way that Indian Sarkar’s agencies couldn’t possibly have committed such an atrocity when we know from historical facts of course they are perfectly capable. You cannot have a situation in a democratic country where its ‘people can be murdered in order to save the people’ – that is the reasoning used by the Pakistani ISI in their schizophrenic two-faced support for and fight against Jihadis.
This Kashmir has ISIS ideology knocking at the door of state .
It is the same precursor force of ISIS that has been in valley that could become franchise of ISIS

What’s that got to do with the Indian State massacring Sikh men, women and children in Kashmir? Oh, you think that’s a justified means to an end? That the SIkhs can be a ‘collateral damage’ for the greater good? Murder the Sikhs and blame it on Muslim radicals so you can justify crackdown on uppity Muslims in Kashmir to the outside world, that your reasoning?

Please do your duty as an citizen and make India like that of your Dreams.
An Utopian society with best ruling practises adopted and learnt from the world
So in your ‘unbiased’ estimation regardless of ‘historical facts (which always get in the way of Hinduvta) the 1947 partition massacres were the sole responsibility of Jinnah and his pesky separatist Muslims and in 1984 the massacre of Sikhs were caused by Sikhs separatists. No Hindus involved at all in either instance, they were completely innocent and have no culpability at all including the murder of Mahatma Gandhi by RSS extremist Nathuram Godse who as a Hinduvta terrorist is also given a free pass. In 2015 the murder – not killing – of Sikhs protesting beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib is deserving of ‘police reform’ not actually arraigning and imprisoning the police who committed the murders on behalf of their political masters.
1947 violence ended with partition
1984 violence ended with migration
For sacrliges a stiff law has been enacted.
It is good to structure your society in a law abiding society.
You cannot even bring yourself to use the word ‘Hindu’ in the same sentence as violence can you? No it is all the fault of the Muslims and the Sikhs in 1947 and 1984. Like Hanuman, you follow the mantra of the three apes that See no Evil, hear no evil, speak no evil by dealing with impropriety by looking the other way, refusing to acknowledge it, or feigning ignorance to the misconduct of others rather than exposing their misconduct. A drunkard can never be cured of alcoholism if he is not even prepared to admit he has a drinking problem especially when he blames his own self destructive propensity on the barman who keeps serving him drink. India deserves better than this its founders and those who died in the partition would be horrified at your complacency.
India is our country.
Grow as much as you want to grow in it.
No one can stop you except your own self.
‘India is our country.
Grow as much as you want to grow in it.
No one can stop you except your own self.’ So in other words you are not going to do your duty as a citizen to make the country just and equitable for ALL of its peoples but will enjoy those liberties which will be hard won by the sacrifices of Sikhs (yet again) who you will then brand as terrorists for wearing their dastaars and beards. I despair that you don’t comprehend the difference between ‘patriotism’ and ‘parasitism’ anymore than you seem to grasp right and wrong even though you were the one previously parroting Kennedy’s ‘Ask not what your country can do for you but rather what you can do for it’.
What about doing your duty as Indian citizen? You want to enjoy the fruits of a proper democracy but you want others to fight for it and put their bodies on the line. Have the Sikhs not done enough for you in freeing and sustaining India not to mention keeping Hinduism alive in Punjab that you have learned nothing of their selfless example after ll these centuries of sacrifice they have made for your betterment. Never mind botheirng yourself with learning best practises form other societies around the world learn from Sikhi how to treat humanity and the principle of democracy of Sangat.
India is our motherland and we must not tarnish its fair name based on hypotheses.
We are no where in league of some of the big terrorirorist organization and States supporting terrorists.
This entire statement is so offensive and stupid. You want to tarnish the fair name of other nations with absurd hypotheses about foreign, amorphous, faceless conspiratorial but when it comes to India which has a track record of committing atrocities (are you going to contend now that the 1984 pogrom of Delhi against the Sikhs was not perpetrated by the State despite the overwhelming evidence?!!) you will not dare speak its name. When something walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck it is very likely to be a duck – same with motive, opportunity and means. You dishonour the dead and do India a disservice by proposing that we ignore her ills in a blind ‘my country, right or wrong manner’ as that means victims cannot get justice because you refuse to recognise the crime committed against them which allows such crimes to go on and on. I want a better country not one which hides its shame. As for ‘India is not as bad as some countries in its human rights abuses and support for extra judicial violence so let’s not worry about it’ – deplorable backward thinking by those with a totalitarian mindset. With that kind of reasoning why worry about rape of women in the country when so many other countries on the ‘league table’ are so much worse in their misogyny.
What ever you find deficient in India please change it. as you are an Indian citizen too.
No one is defending extra judicial violence or any other violence for that matter.
You have and do condone extra judicial violence by the state against its citizens providing those citizens are Sikhs wearing their dastaars and beards and unrelated to collaborators like the Badals and Makkars of this country.
I don’t condone any violence.
I believe in peaceful co existence with states supporting people to pursue there peaceful dreams .
You are defending extra judicial violence because you have stated on a number of occasions that if Sikhs dissent that you will bring back the likes of butchers such as KPS Gill and that those who have committed abuses and atrocities such as police officers Gurmeet Pinky and Sumedh Saini need not go to jail but rather just atone for their sins by making videos for youtube and writing books whereas those Sikhs that escaped their clutches should rot in prison and be chased around the world. Jingoism is not the same as patriotism. I want my country to live up to the ideals upon which it was founded whereas you are content for it to be a banana republic with your ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ mentality.
You can dissent by ballot box but not by GUN.
Remember other people also have guns.
The laws in any state will protect its Police force for they protect the majority people who live there.
‘You can dissent by ballot box’? But the dissident is arrested for sedition for just cutting down a tree or making a speech. He is pursued across the world all the way to Portugal. The leader of the opposition party has his car stoned with the full connivance of the sitting state government party. When a politcial party sitting incumbent makes a political protest by resigning their seat in order to force the state government to take seriously desecrations of Sri Guru Granth Sahib the state government uses the ballot box to grab the seat even though other parties are boycotting the election!
‘The laws in any state will protect its Police force for they protect the majority people who live there’. Really? The majority population in Punjab is Sikh. How are they protected by their police who are shooting them dead in the street and then getting away with murder without any punishment?
Democracy is about holding your politicians to account for their actions and demanding that they maintain a standard of decency and accountability. People get the government they deserve. You do nothing to raise your voice in our motherland you end up complicit with politicians figuratively and literally getting away with murder which has happened in India and continues to happen. Every Indian knows about this dirty politics going on but most people shrug their shoulders in ‘what can the little man do about it’ way. You should not have pride in a house which is dirty but clean it.
I have deep Indian roots.
I know what Indians will do and what Indians will not do.
One thing they will certainly not do is kill Sikhs to catch attention of visiting President of USA.
It is an absolutely ridiculous proposition.
With the kind of terrorism going on in this world this qualifies to be a minor terrorist attack compared to some big ones like 9/11, Mumbai,France etc etc..
He needs to read world politics more seriously and deeply .
‘You know what Indians will do and what they won’t do’. Really? 1947 Partition – over a million civilians dead, all just killed by Pakistani Muslims? 1978 into the 1990s – thousands of Sikhs killed, tortured, disappeared and murdered in extra judicial atrocities including state sponsored and condoned pogrom against Sikhs in the capitol city itself over 4 DAYS!!! Punjab police shoot and kill Sikhs in streets of Punjab in 2015 for just protesting beadbi of Sri Guru Granth Sahib for goodness sake! Your constant state of denial is the absolutely ridiculous proposition. Next you’ll be telling us with your ‘deep Indian roots’ that the Earth is flat and flying, talking monkey kings are capable of rescue missions. There is no such thing as MINOR TERRORIST ACT anymore than there is a MINOR MASSACRE. You kill one innocent human being no matter that you think you are doing it in the name of the State you are guilty of a crime against humanity full stop.
I suggest the answer is simple.
1947 : The violence was started by direct action call given by Jinnah after he decided to cleanse the land of all kafirs who its original inhabitants.
1984 : It started after the militants in Punjab started targeting innocent Hindus.
2015 : Killing are wrong and we need to have police reforms to prevent such incidences.
You can always call it the incident as minor when you see the middle east turmoil.
Though I agree there should be no killings even of a single person .
No one should be terrorized into submission by threat of violence.
So in your unbiased estimation regardless of historical facts (which always get in the way of Hinduvta) the 1947 partition massacres were the sole responsibility of Jinnah and his pesky separatist Muslims and in 1984 the massacre of Sikhs were caused by Sikhs separatists. No Hindus involved at all in either instance, they were completely innocent and have no culpability at all including the murder of Mahatma Gandhi by RSS extremist Nathuram Godse who as a Hinduvta terrorist is also given a free pass. Why aren’t human rights organizations allowed into “hindu”stan? If 1984 genocide was about terrorists, then why attack at least 36 other gurdwaras at the same time? Why was the historical Sikh reference library looted and burned? Why were inncocent sikh men, women and children slaughtered execution style inside the holy Golden Temple, many who had their hands tied behind their back with their own turbans? Why was Jaswant Singh Khalra totured and executed? Do you know who Jaswant Singh Khalra is? ?
War is always cruel and brutal.
Once war starts few people can control it.
It has its own dynamics and war can easily
1) Spread to new areas
2) Become increasingly vicious and brutual
3) Prone to hijack by occult forces.
So shun war as far as possible .
The only people who make profit’s in war is the military industrial complex.
It is not called WAR when a State uses all of its apparatus – police, political, army and judiciary – to both discriminate against, persecute and indulge in extra judicial kidnappings, fake encounters, torture, false imprisonment and murder against an ethnic minority and citizenry. That is called a POGROM and GENOCIDE. The German Jews suffered the same treatment under the democratically mandated Nazi Government. Also no point talking about ‘occult forces’ – Sikhs don’t believe in existential devils and demons – those linger in the hearts and minds of men. And yes even in the hearts and minds of Indian men.
We can easily resurrect ourselves in every village ,town and country in world for glory and fame .
We are here to stay in this Universe till end of Universe and Time and may be even beyond that in parallel Universes and Parallel Times.
Genocide-3 was only further our resolve to boldly go in space and time where no one has ever gone before .
We will make history and not live in history.
‘We can easily resurrect ourselves in every village ,town and country in world for glory and fame.’ NO, ‘Harinder’ Sikhs are not about glory and fame, those are Manmukh aspirations. We are put on this earth to seek Waheguru’s blessing and grace through Gurmukh living.
Hahaha. Good job of ducking every single question. This was not a war. It was cold blooded massacre. I will ask you again. Now man up, dont be a pussy cat, and answer the questions put forth instead of using deflective statements like the true cunning weasel and snake that you are. The weasel and snake personified by rss, shiv sena, and hindutva terrorists and terrorist supporters such as yourself. YOU are the true terrorist supporter. Become a true Harinder instead of a Whorinder. Do you know the definition of terrorist and terrorism? Hmmmmm?
Why arent human rights organizations allowed into hindustan? If 1984 genocide was about terrorists, then why attack at least 36 other gurdwaras at the same time? Why was the historical Sikh reference library looted and burned? Hmmmm? Pussy cat got your tongue?
I agree that wrongs did happen in 1980-1990 period.
The lack of justice for 1984 genocide victims is a point .
The. answer to all those wrongs is justice or resurrection and infinite number of Punjab in all the villages, cities and countries of the world to keep check on all fascist forces.
We also need to align ourselves with non fascist forces in the world.
Harinder says ‘We also need to align ourselves with non fascist forces in the world’ yet is himself a proud supporter of a fascist terrorist organisation the RSS which is modelled on Hitler’s Nazi SS both in ‘pure blood’ ideology and brainwashing drills and violence to those they consider the ‘other’. He’s like hypocrite Nazi propagandist Goebbels who tried to condemn the Russians for their bloody massacre of captive, unarmed Polish officers in Katyn in World War 2 whilst his own party was committing genocide of Jewish civilians.
I completely agree with Harinder veerji.
Believe in the ‘truth’ of Ramayana too do you?
It is the same ongoing forces which is causing terror all over the world.since 9/11.
The reason given is so juvenile .How can President of USA be affected by such minor militant actions.
We Sikhs need to comprehend world politics on a GLOBAL scale.
It seems to me you are just trying to absolve Indian Government from all culpability even though it has a long troubling track record both in terms of individual States and Centrally of pitting one communal community against another. Sectarian massacres are rooted in Indian politics and your constant claim that all such slaughter is not the fault of Indians but of outside forces is not just blind but actually an outright lie which gives Indian politicians and religious extremists such as Shiv Sena and the RSS a free pass to murder as they please. It is absolutely in Indian state interest to deflect any criticism of human rights violations which it does as a matter of course – so much so that it is staggered when other countries are not prepared to sanction it as we have seen with the farce of trying to extradict a Sikh dissident from Portugal which left egg on India’s face. The easiest way to deflect international concern over its poor civil liberties and human rights record in the current climate is to murder religious minorities and blame it on the ‘Muslim’ problem so we can sidle into the anti Jihadi camp without close scrutiny of our own religious intolerance towards those not of Hindu faith. The Sikhs are in this regard easy targets as the State has a record of murdering them with impugnity and on this occasion they were a very convenient ‘kill two birds with one stone’ target in that they were in Kashmir (a majority Muslim population state) so Indian state could say Muslims are killing religious minorities and also appear to be sympathetic to Sikh victims to deflect criticism from Clinton over their treatment of Sikhs in Punjab who have suffered decades of atrocities. So your contention that India didn’t do such a dirty trick (contrary to the black ops that RAW and intelligence bureau was set up for) just does not stack up – Indian State had motive, opportunity and means whereas outside foreign sources just don’t. And as for you saying ‘How can President of USA be affected by such minor militant actions’ I wonder if you would describe them as ‘minor’ if your family had been massacred or whether it is just that they were Sikhs that makes you so indifferent to their innocent slaughter? The USA is interested in human rights and civil liberties – look at their response to such abuses in Bosnia, Sudan and how even when making peace with Cuba in recent days President Obama still has guts to bring such violations up in front of Cuban leader publicly. India needs to mature as a democracy and adopt better respectful governance for ALL of its citizens.
