:dateline:In a statement released after their release from jails, the Sarbat Khala 2015appointed Takht Jathedars, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand (Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib), Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal (Damdama Sahib), and Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala (Keshgarh Sahib), appealed to the Sikh masses to boycott slanderers of Guru Sahib. They said that no one hasany right to challenge the spirituality of Nitnem or Amrit.

The trio said that Prof. Darshan Singh (former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib) was bifurcating the Sikh community. Commenting onaccusations raised by Prof. Darshan Singh againstthe Singhs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee of Tarn Taran, they said that Prof. Darshan Singh was falsely blaming the Singhs for possessing explosives. “Truth seems explosive to all sin committers,” they added.

They clarified that Prof. Darshan Singh was unable to respondin the debate over Nitnemat Tarn Taran, and because he had no other way out, heand his supporters raisedfalse accusations against theSinghs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee and Damdami Taksal.

As per information revealed from sources in Tarn Taran, Prof. Darshan Singh had arrived at a program being organized by the Sikh Missionary College Ludhiana when his visit was opposed by the local Guru Granth Sahib Satkar Committee. Satkar Committee activists sought to question him, however this led to a small confrontation between the two groups. No consensus was reached and local Satkar Committee activists raised slogans outside the Gurdwara againsthim.
