TALWANDI SABO, Punjab—Following his release from the Hoshiarpur Jail, Sarbat Khalsa 2015 appointed Jathedar Bhai Baljit Singh Daduwal (Damdama Sahib) met various Sikh leaders to discuss strategies to implement resolutions passed in November last year.   Prominently, he met with Simranjit Singh Mann and Gurdeep Singh Bathinda to chalk out further course of action.  Their meeting took place on March 9 at Gurdwara Jandalisar of Kot Shamir near Bathinda.

Bhai Daduwal and several other Sikh leaders were arrested shortly after the Sarbat Khalsa, consequently delaying any work on the resolutions.  Their arrest also delayed formation of the World Sikh Parliament.

During the meeting at Gurdwara Jandalisar, Bhai Daduwal spoke about his arrest and the impact of the Sarbat Khalsa on the Punjab Government.  He appreciated the sangat for making the event successful.  “Sarbat Khalsa at village Chabba made the Punjab government tremble, which led it to use every foul strategy to keep the organizers confined,” he told Sikh24 after the meeting.  “Despite such brutalities, Akali leaders were forced to remain inside their homes to avoid any interaction with the Sikh sangat, this was the impact of Sarbat Khalsa,” he added.

“We are requesting all Panthik groups to attend the meeting going to be held at village Daduwal in Sirsa on March 20,” Bhai Daduwal said.

Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda said, “The motive of this gathering would be to deliberate upon the strategies to tackle the emerging challenges in front of Sikh nation. Venue and dates for Sarbat Khalsa 2016 will also be decided in the meeting.”
