Bhai Waryam Singh pays obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Political Sikh prisoner Bhai Waryam Singh who was released from Bareilly jail after 26 years long imprisonment yesterday reached Sri Harmandir Sahib to pay obeisance there along with his family. After paying obeisance, Bhai Waryam Singh met SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh.

Speaking about his release from the prison, Bhai Waryam Singh clarified that the Punjab government did not make any efforts to get him released.  He added that he was allotted premature release only due to efforts of the Uttar Pradesh government.  “Jail Minister Balwant Singh Ramuwalia played crucial role in facilitating premature release to me,” he added, while appreciating the year long struggle of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa.
