BREAKING: Hospital Staff Express Worry as Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa’s Condition Worsens

:dateline:Just days after Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa removed the force feeding pipes and refused to cooperate with the medical authorities, doctors expressed concern and highlighted “great damage” to the body of 83 year old Sikh activist. �Following the incident,�Punjab Police SSP (Jagraon) Ravcharan Brar today paid visit to the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital to inquire about Bapu Ji’s�deteriorating health. Deputy Commissioner (Ludhiana), Ravi Bhagat and Chief Medical Officer Renu Chhatwal were also accompanying SSP Brar.20160301042214

After meeting the senior medical team at the�Dayanand Medical College & Hospital including the President Sanjeev Puri, SSP Brar and others tried to convince Bapu Ji to not refuse treatment.

SSP Brar pleaded to Bapu Ji to comply as the hospital staff had expressed great concern over damage to Bapu Ji’s body. �Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa refused to comply citing Government’s delay in releasing political prisoners.

 

Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has been on hunger strike since January 16, 2015, seeking release of political Sikh prisoners who have already served mandatory terms of their sentences. He has endured immense physical and mental torture by the Punjab government during this year long struggle.
