Christians And Jews Learn About Sikh Faith in Calgary

:dateline:An interfaith event was organized by the Calgary youth at the�Dashmesh Culture Centre Gurdwara today. �The event was attended by a number of local Sikhs, along with members of the Jewish and Christian community. �Both faiths were acquainted with the Sikh religion and its values, during the event, which lasted over 2 hours.

A lot of interest was expressed by the interfaith communities in learning about Sikh values. �There were questions about Sikh faith, practices, traditions, Gurbani and spirituality. Open question such as�”What is something from your faith that you really like and what is something from another faith that you really like?”, were asked to the Sikh youth speakers, who then expressed their thoughts.

The interfaith groups also had the opportunity to do seva (selfless service) of making and partaking in langar (free food).
