He passed away yesterday at the�Apollo Hospital in Ludhiana. �Baba Hardev Singh was diagnosed with cancer. �
While better known for ‘has-russ’ (lighthearted) katha, Baba Hardev Singh was well versed in multiple languages, including fluent English. �He had spent several decades of his life studying Gurbani and other scriptures.
He was a student of Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, and had also spent time with the nirmalas and udasis, studying their interpretations of bani and Sikh history. �He was close to several Sikhs who were part of the militancy movement in the early 1990s.
