:dateline:Bhai Ravi Singh, of charity Khalsa Aid, was invited to speak at the Morland Area Primary School in Cumbria to talk about various humanitarian relief projects that Khalsa Aid is leading. Ravi Singh spoke about the work of Khalsa Aid in the recent UK floods and its global humanitarian relief efforts in countries like Syria and Iraq.
While speaking about his humanitarian relief work, Ravi Singh also shared information about the Sikh religion. Ravi Singh posted, “Some of the children are learning about the Sikhs and were fascinated to meet a Sikh.”
He added, “The children were amazing and really engaged well about disaster relief & questions about Sikhi. I am thankful to Morland Area School for the invite & wonderful hospitality.”
Ravi Singh received much acclaim in the Cumbria, when the severe flooding of the area,�in the Winter of 2014, found Ravi Singh and team from Khalsa Aid, visiting the people of Cumbria and providing quick and fast help on the ground. Members of the public expressed the utter surprise and thankfulness at the team’s altruistic efforts.
