:dateline:The Punjab and Haryana High Court today granted bail to renowned Punjabi journalist Baltej Pannu. Pannu has provided in-depth coverage on various subjects�relating to issues Punjab, with emphasis on the drug mafia.
He came to the limelight after he publicized the well known case of ‘Bhola’, in a drug smuggling�case.
Baltej Pannu was arrested and charged in a molestation and rape case back in November 2015. Due to his hard hitting investigative coverage, Pannu has been on the Punjab Government�s radar for a long time.
While Pannu has been granted relief, another well renowned journalist, Surinder Singh, remains behind bars in Haryana. He has not been granted bail yet, as his case was filed under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (TADA) Act.
It is tragic that this SAD Govt won the election as a Panthak Party. But then to get some ministership for their family members in Delhi, this SAD is sold out to RSS/BJP/Arya- smaajees and have been actually working against the Sikh panth under RSS direction. Only solution left is that party as well as Congress should be defeated in 2017 elections. The problems faced by Sikh world and the Punjab in particular can be solved only politically, not by arms as we have seen in eightees. ActIvate the Sikh masses politically and acquire political power first as rightly suggested by our noted sikh historian Dr. Gurdarshan Singh jee Dhillon and other Sikh thinkers. Sikhs have been suffering injustice because all the political parties governing Punjab so far were not sincere and honest. AAP party has come up on the platform of honesty which has been lagging so far. They have shown in Delhi by winning election exemplary and also by delivering good governance against all odds. Their volunteers are all educated and thinkers. Therefore the present political atmosphere in Punjab is favourable to AAP and if AAP do not deviate from the path of honesty then all the problems faced by the sikhs could be solved satisfactorily but the sikhs manning the AAP party in Punjab should also be sincere and honest and not like Bhekhu sikhs of Kali Badal and Congress. It is perfect timing that all committed Khalsa panth should join AAP, lead this party and take control of power in Punjab to solve all the pending problems. Mr. Arvind Kejriwal is not a gursikh and he may not have felt the sufferings of the sikh masses but he is an honest person which is only the requirement for our cause.
