Makkar’s SGPC Criticizes Indian Govt For Not Including Sikh Regiment In Republic Day Parades

Indian Republic Day Parade:dateline:The SGPC has criticizedthe central government for showingpartiality and not including theSikh regiment during Republic Day Parades on January 26. It is notable that the French President Francois Hollande was especially invited by the Indian government on this occasion.

Speaking in publicover the non-inclusion of the Sikh regiment in Republic Day Parade, SGPC President Avtar Singh Makkar said that the current approach of Indian government has disappointed the Sikh community. He added that the Union government has tried to oppress the identity of Sikhs at a time when the whole Sikh community was trying to apprise French President Francois Hollande about the importance of the turban for the Sikhs. SGPC Chief has announced to take up the matter with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The SGPC makes this statement whilst thus far, making no approach to the French Prime Minister, despite having ample opportunity to do so.

He added that the Sikhs have contributed to amajor proportion for the freedom of India. Referring tostatistics of the British government, he informed that 93 out of total 121 hanged by British government were Sikhs. Similarly, 2147 out of a total of 2646 life imprisonment sentences were Sikhs.

  1. it seems having Khalistan is going to be the only solution for Sikhs in future. Having Hindu agenda over the unity of country seems to be the root cause of this problem. I hope, wise government people can fix the problem before it gets worse. Excluding Sikhs from the Republic day and not taking the problem of Sikhs as their own is the worst thing a government can do. It seems that the dream of Khalistan will become really in the near future.

  2. Makkar and his Shameless Godless Perverted Collaborators raise the issue once the French President has alreayd left the country making it a moot point. Really contemptuous of the Sikh Panth to think that we will be fooled by this utterly belated less than even half-hearted pathetic attempt to stand up for the Sikh identity. Must have decided to peep up like the mouse he is (or is it rat) after his HInduvta masters told him it was all safe now to do so as French President and all the crowds who would have attended the Republic Day parade have long since gone home. Another glaring prime example of how impotent and irrelevant the SGPC has become has a supposedly representative body of the Sikh nation.
