Bhai Mohkam Singh Could Be Released Tomorrow – Bailed in 3rd ‘Fake’ Case

Mohkam SinghLUDHIANA, Punjab—President of United Akali Dal, Bhai Mohkam Singh, was today granted bail by the local court of Baba Bakala in what is largely being labelled as another  fake case registered against him. The case was registered against him for blocking the bridge over Beas River during the upsurge across Punjab after the desecration incidents occurred during mid-October of 2015.

Bhai Mohkam Singh was earlier granted bail by the Punjab & Haryana High Court in the sedition charges levelled against him following the Sarbat Khalsa 2015 gathering. He was also granted bail by the Amritsar Court against an FIR registered against him at the E-division Police station, for allegedly disturbing the peaceful environment of Harmandir Sahib on Bandi Chhor Diwas. The FIR was registered by the Amritsar Police at the complaint of the manager of Harmandar Sahib.

Due to the granting of bail, it is likely that Bhai Mohkam Singh will be released from Ludhiana jail tomorrow. He may have been released today from but due to incomplete documentation he couldn’t be released.

  1. Why the hell is it a PUnjab ‘& Haryana’ High Court and not just a PUnjab High Court? Oh, I get it Haryana was an artificial state carved out of Punjab by Punjabi Hindus who wanted to abandon mother tongue Punjabi for Hindi and have a majority Hindu state of their own. So they wanted to separate themselves from the Sikhs in Punjab but still have a judicial say over the Sikhs in Punjab. A cunning plan.
