:dateline: The president of the United Akali Dal. and one of the main organizers of Sarbat Khalsa 2015, Bhai Mohkam Singh has moved a petition in the Punjab & Haryana High Court, appealing for clarification on the total number of alleged fake cases registered against him.
Bhai Mohkam Singh has explained to the Court that the Punjab government was continuously registering fake cases against him to hinder his release.
Confirming the development, Bhai Sukhdeep Singh (son of Bhai Mohkam Singh) told Sikh24�that the High Court has issued a notice to the Director General of Punjab Police, Police Commissioner and SSP (Rural) of Amritsar to clarify the cases registered against Bhai Mohkam Singh before February 8.
Bhai Sukhdeep Singh also said�that Bhai Mohkam Singh has told the Court in his petition that Punjab government was misusing its administrative powers to suppress the voice of Sikhs. He has said in the petition that Sarbat Khalsa 2015 was purely a religious gathering which didn�t include a single word against the integrity of the country, but the Punjab government is misrepresenting�the Sarbat Khalsa gathering by labelling it as anti-national.
Bhai Mohkam Singh has also said that he has lodged defamation cases against the Punjab government and the Police officials responsible for registering fake FIRs against him.
It’s like Alice in Wonderland with the Punjab Government and Police. They make up spurious charges just to keep this innocent Sikh in custody to harass him and warn others similar harassment will come to them if they too dare to dissent. Shameless people who are using the law to commit injustice.
