:dateline:President of the United Akali Dal and one of the organizer of Sarbat Khalsa2015, Bhai Mohkam Singh, was yesterday granted bail in the case registered against him for disturbing peaceful environment of Sri Harmandir Sahib on Bandi Chhod Diwas.
An FIR was registered against Bhai Mohkam Singh, Bhai Dhian Singh Mand, Bhai Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala, Bhai Bhupinder Singh Cheema and several others by Amritsar police, at the complaint of the manager of Darbar Sahib.
The bail of�Bhai Mohkam Singh lends more strength to his case being quashed.
It is noteworthy here that Bhai Mohkam Singh was earlier granted bail by the Punjab & Haryana High Court in the sedition charges levelled against him by Punjab police. The High Court used stern words for the Police responsible, accusing them of misusing their powers by registering fake FIRs against the organizers of Sarbat Khalsa 2015. On the day of release, Bhai Mohkam Singh was again taken�away by Amritsar police from Ludhiana jail due to�the accusation�of disturbing the environment of Sri Darbar Sahib.
The remaining accused include Bhai Bhupinder Singh Cheema, who is confined in Gurdaspur jail while Bhai Jaskaran Singh Kahan Singh Wala is being detained in Nabha jail.
