:dateline:Acting in the defense of Sikhs residing in states outside of�Punjab, the Jail Minister of Uttar Pradesh S. Balwant Singh Ramuwalia yesterday facilitated the registration of cases against RPF Inspector Ramesh Chahar, his kin Chirma Devi, Vivek, Abhishek , Rekha and Sonal.
A�Sikh lady had appealed to the Jail Minister Balwant Singh Ramuwalia that her family had been facing continuous�violence at the hands of the�alleged Inspector for not being a�witness in his favor, in the court.
The case is about the illegal possession of a house by the alleged Inspector which is in vicinity of the victim�s house. The Inspector was forcing the family to appear as witnesses in his favor at court, to say that he had purchased the house at the cost Rs. 20 lakh. But on refusing, the Inspector attacked the family on January 12 this year.
