PICTORIAL: Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s Gurpurab Celebrated at Patna Sahib

PATNA SAHIB, Bihar—A religious procession was organized from Gurdwara Gaoo Ghat on January 15 under patronage of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and leadership of Panj Pyare to mark the 342nd birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.  Students of various schools, band parties, kirtani jathas and leaders of various political parties took part in this divine religious procession enriched with Khalsa grandeur.

Holy Scripture of Sri Guru Granth Sahib was placed in beautifully decorated palanquin during this religious procession.  Giani Iqbal Singh concluded this religious procession by performing Ardas.

The Nagar Kirtan included members of various non-Sikh communities, including local Hindus and Muslims.

Member Parliament, Surinderjit Singh Ahluwalia, S. Surinderpal Singh Oberoi (Member, Management Committee of Takht Sri Patna Sahib), Baba Karamjit Singh Yamuna Nagar Wale, Baba Joga Singh Karnal Wale, Baba Ghala Singh Nanaksar Wale, Bhai Paramjit Singh Khalsa (President, All India Sikh Students Federation), Bhai Major Singh Khalsa, Bhai Baljit Singh Bira, Ragi Bhai Wariam Singh, Bhai Maninderpal Singh Sonu, Bhai Gurpreet Singh Dharampura, S. Pritpal Singh (President, Gurdwara Dukh Niwaran Sahib Ludhiana), Baba Mohinder Singh UK Wale, Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale, Baba Sukhwinder Singh Sukha and Baba Gurwinder Singh were prominent among present Sikh devotees in this procession.
