:dateline:President of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhik Committee, S. Jagdish Singh Jhinda today paid visit to Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa at the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. �Applauding the year long struggle of Bapu Surat Singh for the release of political Sikh prisoners, S. Jhinda said that HSGPC stands by Bapu Ji till the release of political Sikh prisoners. �He promised to facilitate mass support to Bapu Ji�s struggle in Haryana province.
Informing about Jhinda�s visit, S.�Ravinder Jeet�Singh Gogi (Bapu Surat Singh’s son) informed that the �Panj Piare� had also planned to visit Bapu Ji in DMCH but due to some urgency they have deferred their visit by two days.
It may be recalled that 83 year old Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa has been on hunger strike since January 16 of 2015 highlighting the plight of illegally detained political prisoners. �Bapu Ji has endured mental and physical abuse, including food-pipe stitched to his forehead to break his resolve and force him to submit.
