:dateline:In a media interview, SGPC President Avtar Makkar has filed an irresponsible answer over the controversial appointment of Chief Secretary in SGPC. He has said that if Chief Secretary Harcharan Singh claims himself as master of handling accounts, he should be given a chance.
Prominent Sikh personalities have alleged Harcharan Singh’s involvement with the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat group. �He was appointed as the Chief Secretary of SGPC few months ago�by the SGPC executives.
Constitutionally, the executive members don�t possess right to invent new posts in SGPC till the Supreme Court of India doesn�t validate the existence of SGPC�s general house. However, Harcharan Singh was appointed by the executives of SGPC by inventing new post of Chief Secretary despite sharp criticism among the Sikh nation. Large amounted salary and other compensations were also defended for him by the SGPC executives.
Now question arises, was it necessary to invent new post Chief Secretary in SGPC?
If we throw a glance at the background of Chief Secretary Harcharan Singh, he had served as a senior bank official in Punjab. He was not even an Amritdhari before ensuring of his appointment as the Chief Secretary. �Instead, his tie-ups with the RSS had gone viral on social media. Following questions demand answers over the appointment of Harcharan Singh:
- If Harcharan Singh was to handle only financial matters of the SGPC, he could have been�appointed on a post of�Finance Manager. Why the post of Chief Secretary invented exclusively for him?
- As Harcharan Singh holds no experience in�religious affairs, why are such matters of the�Sikh community being�handed over to him?
- Why the age-old Amritdhari employees of SGPC like Dr. Roop Singh, who has earned degree of Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph. D) for his research work on SGPC, were ignored?
- As Makkar stated, if Harcharan Singh claims himself to be a master in handling accounts, he should be given a chance. Now question arises, there are so many financial analysts across the country that have facilitated productive yield to their firms. Then, why the SGPC showered such an incomparable luxuries only to Harcharan Singh?
If we thoroughly analyse the approach of SGPC executives in placing a Financial Manager above the Secretaries looking after religious affairs, we could easily conclude that the executives have started taking SGPC as a business firm.
Moreover, appointment of Harcharan Singh is being considered as a bid of RSS to indirectly dominate over the Sikh shrines. Some leaders have even alleged that Chief Secretary will be working for personal firms of Badal and will get paid by SGPC. �
The RSS are a parastic oganisation who will destroy Sikhi from the inside out. This is thanks to collaboraive Sikhs and oranganisation like the SPGC. What Sikhs are seeing is what happened to the religion I follow Buddhism which was forced out of the land of its birth.
Sikh brothers you have been warned kick Brahmins – Hindoos out of Sikhi or there will be no Sikhs left.
The RSS has penetrated the SGPC and the stench of their violation is repugnant and intolerable to the Sikh masses. They give unwanted pardons to heretics to secure vote banks for their political master Badal, they award themselves positions and salaries befitting their fiefidoms, they shame the name of the Panj Pyare and take Sikhs to court who protest at their infamy. How long before they start installing idols in our Gurdwaras when they so brazenly defile our Gurus’ Gurmat?
