January 10 March To Conclude in Karnal Due to Delhi Odd Even Policy

2016-01-04_march_jan_10:dateline:Due to implementation of odd-even traffic policy in Delhi, the January 10 march will conclude at Karnal. �The odd-even traffic policy was implemented by the Aam Aadmi Party to minimize the air pollution as well as traffic in New Delhi. �Under this policy, consecutive days have been fixed for Cars having odd and even plate numbers.

Talking with Sikh24, leaders of United Akali Dal Bhai Bahadur Singh Rahon and Bhai Gurnam Singh Sidhu informed that they were trying to contact the Delhi government to get relaxation on the odd even policy. �They however stated that despite several attempts, so far there has been no success in exception.

General Secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Prof. Mohinderpal Singh informed that a three member committee has been constituted to communicate with the Delhi government in wake of upcoming January 10 march.

It is noteworthy here that the Sikh bodies had chalked out the plan to honour Akal Takhat Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara at his court appearance in Delhi on January 11. A caravan of Cars will depart from Sri Fatehgarh Sahib on January 10.
