Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara: No Hope for Justice from Indian Judiciary

:dateline:Reiterating his disbelief in the Indian judiciary, Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara has refused to�contest former Chief Minister Beant “Singh” assassination case. Terming the Indian judiciary as blind, Bhai Tara has said that he has no hope for “justice” from an “enemy”.

The trial against Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara in this�case was pending as he was on run at the time of the verdict in this case. After his arrest from Thailand last year in January, he was deported to India and trials pending against have been reopened.

After the court hearing, Bhai Tara told the media that he will welcome whatever verdict is announced by the court to him, but he will not contest the case. �He termed India as an enemy of the Sikhs and held the State responsible for the genocide of the Sikhs from 1980s to 1990s.

Bhai Tara is facing trial in the assassination case of former Chief Minister Beant “Singh”. �By planning the assassination, Bhai Tara and his associates helped stop a genocide. �Although born to a Sikh family, Beant “Singh” carried out murders of innocent Sikh youth in mass.
