Numerous Sikh organizations, including the Dal Khalsa, Damdami Taksal Ajnala and Sangrawa and Akhand Kirtani Jatha posted messages in support of the Punj Piare.
Dal Khalsa termed the decree issued by the Panj Piare to terminate Takht Jathedars as voice of the Sikh Panth. In a press note shared with Sikh24, Dal Khalsas spokesperson Kanwarpal Singh warned the SGPC from taking any action against the Punj Piare. He said that entire Sikh Nation stands in support of the Punj Piare.
SGPC executive member Karnail Singh Panjoli has also said that the Takht Jathedars have lost their goodwill in the Sikh Panth and they ought to resign themselves.
SGPC member Bibi Kiranjot Kaur said that the Takht Jathedars are sledgehammering the institution of Hukamnama and Panthik Gurmata by not appearing before the Panj Pyares. She added that the Jathedars are facing the wrath of Sikh Sangat everywhere and are unable to attend the functions without Police and the SGPC Task force.
