350th Birth Anniversary: Badal meets Ministers to Support Road Building for Celebrations

:dateline:In the wake of the 350th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh Ji at Takht Sri Patna Sahib in Bihar, Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Badal yesterday met Central Transport and Highways Minister Sri Nitin Gadkari seeking his intervention in installation of four lane road towards Takht Sri Patna Sahib.

Accompanied by the Central Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Badal, the CM informed Sri Nitin Gadkari that deploying four lane roads from Didarganj to Kanganghat was needed in order to facilitate hassle free pilgrimage to the Sikh devotees. He added that the project will cost around Rupees 6 billion as the total distance between two destinations is four kilometers. ��

Sri Gadkari has considered the request�and promised to consider the project thoroughly. It is notable that the celebrations regarding 350th birthday anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji will commence at�the beginning�of January, 2016.

Chief Minister Badal then also met the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and urged him to make special arrangements in Central budget to celebrate birthday anniversaries of Prophets. Badal also met Home Minister Sri Rajnath Singh on this occasion. He also met Railway Minister Sri Ashok Kumar Mittal to appeal him to facilitate special Railway services to pilgrims.
