Talking with Sikh24, Pamma�s father Amrik Singh and mother Bibi Rattan Kaur said that they have sent�an appeal to the Portugal courts to request no�extradition to India. They said�that their family had faced extensive torture by police in Punjab, and their other son Parminder Singh was extra-judicially killed�by Sumeh Saini. They added that Bhai Pamma fled to the UK on 12 August, 1999 fearing�the torture of the Punjab police.
Leader of Sikhs for Human Rights, Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema said�that Pamma fled to United Kingdom when the Punjab police crossed all limits by�committing torture on his family. He added that the Punjab police used to extra-judicially confined his father in Police stations and was brutally beaten�numerous times.
Cheema also informed that all the accused in Rulda murder case have been acquitted by the courts while the trial against Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara was still under trial. He said�that Pamma�s lawyer has arrived in Portugal to contest his case in Portugal.
