Police Continue Detention of Dhadrianwale, Panthpreet Singh and Baba Daler Singh

PATIALA, Punjab—Police have continued to confine Sikh preachers Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwala, Panthpreet Singh and Baba Daler Singh to prevent them from holding protests against the government for the arrest of culprits responsible for desecration incidents of Bargari.

It is notable that as per the 9th resolution of the congregation at Bargari, Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwala had announced launch massive protests and gherao Akali ministers after November 15. He was confined at Gurdwara Parmeshar Dwar during intervening night of November 15 & November 16. Dhadrianwala has cancelled all his religious programs due to the confinement.

Similarly, Bhai Panthpreet Singh is also being detained inside his home in village Bhai Bakhtaur. He is not being permitted to move outside his home by the police contingents deployed around his home.

Baba Daler Singh has strongly condemned the house arrests of all preachers. He said that the Akali government is directly interfering in religious matters instead of arresting the culprits responsible desecrations of Sri Guru Granth Sahib across Punjab. Reiterating his stance for the punishment to Police contingents responsible for Bargari incident, he asserted that their struggle would continue till victory in getting culprits punished.
