AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—On the celebration day of Bandi Shorre (Diwali), the new acting Jathedar (in the absence of Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara), has issued a ‘sandesh’ (message) to the Sikh nation.
He highlights the disturbing fact that in the whole of Sikh history, there has never been as much sacrilege as there have been in the last few weeks. He goes on to recommend all follow the request of observing a ‘Black’ Diwali’ , and not light lamps or light fireworks.
He states that a turning point in the Panth has occurred and this should follow with an upwards trend in the high spirits of the nation.
