Bhai Dhian Singh Mand: Preparations have been completed for ‘Sarbat Khalsa’

TARN TARAN, Punjab—Talking with Sikh24, Vice President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Bhai Dhian Singh Mand announced that all the preparations for the ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ on November 10 have been completed. He announced that 40 acres of land was hired by the Party to successfully complete the congregation. He said that a temporary shelter has been erected upon 20 acres of land to facilitate a comfortable sitting place for Sikh devotees. He also informed that free kitchen facility would be available in eight separated venues whilst a parking lot has also been arranged.

Rejecting Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma’s arguments of there being no traditional sanctity of ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ outside Sri Akal Takht Sahib, he asserted that ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ could be called at any historical place and that was why they chose the current venue as Baba Deep Singh Ji and his accompanies attained martyrdom while fighting against Mughals at this location.

Bhai Mand also appealed to Sikhs masses to remain aware of the false statements by government agencies to sabotage the event and discourage the Sikh masses from attending. He made it clear that only Panthik isuues would be deliberated on at the ‘Sarbat Khalsa’.
