CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Despite facing constant failures in proving Bhai Rupinder Singh and Bhai Jaswinder Singh being guilty of Bargari Guru Granth Sahib Ji desecration incident, the Punjab government is seemingly adamant on its stance to sledgehammer Sikh pride by holding the duo responsible.

Just after a day of Court’s denial of exercising polygraph test on Bhai Rupinder Singh and Bhai Jaswinder Singh, the Punjab government is still mulling over handing over the investigation of case to CBI.

Information from reliable sources reveals that the Special Investigation Team constituted to probe into the case, has faced failure in producing further corroborating evidences against Bhai Rupinder Singh and Bhai Jaswinder Singh. The duo has been detained in Faridkot jail after getting framed by District police in the case. They are being accused because of the few calls they answered from sympathizers from abroad. Besides the apparent insufficient evidence, police appear to have nothing to prove them guilty over the incident.

Sources have said Inspector General Parmraj Umranangal, who played a key role in the opening gun-fire on peaceful protesting Sikhs leaving two dead, has been accused of continuously misguiding the Punjab government, apparantly to satisfy his anti-Sikh mentality.

Separately, another accusation against , is that he has encouraged a US resident ‘cat’ (agent), Dilawar Chahal, to continuously promote false propaganda against the fasting activist Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa.
