  1. besides do we really want to be celebrating diwali which has nothing to do with sikhi, it is bandi shorh. november 84 for sikhs should be remembered by what happened in delhi to our brothers sisters mothers etc. do we really want to be lighting up the world with fireworks!!!

Virjee diwali has a lot to do with us it is known by as bandi chor diwas, so we celebrate the release of the prisoners that guru ji took out. What has happened in Delhi has happened by us sikhis crying over it will not help we need to learn from that and move forward because when Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was martyred Guru Gobind Singh Ji didn’t sit around and cry he went on and made a something which is know known as khalsa and we should follow our fathers foot steps.

  2. makkar is only trying to please the sikhs as this resolution was passed by chardi khalla singhs in first place. why do we need light up at bandi shorh our gurus did not say that. we can still remain in chardi khalla without having to cause unnecessary pollution with fireworks etc.

  3. I agree with Harinder! plus I think by Makkar’s instructions not to light up at Diwali – what difference is that going to make to what the Panth wants. Why does he not order the real culprits to be found and free Rupinder Singh and Jaswinder Singh – its so sad seeing them on news last night….. my heart goes out to these boys and their families…..
