Bhai Satnam Singh: Makkar’s Sacking Decision Could Not Have Held on the ‘Panj Pyare’

Sikhkaum-panj-piareyAMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—On being interviewed on television by the UK based ‘Sikh Channel’, Bhai Satnam Singh (one of the ‘Panj Pyare’ responsible for terminating the Takht Jathedars) has said that the self-styled order of Avtar Makkar of suspending the ‘Panj Pyare’, couldn’t have had any impact on the presence of the ‘Panj Pyare’. He said that the post of ‘Panj Pyares’ is supreme in Sikhism and even Guru Gobind Singh Ji had followed their orders.

Replying to a question about the desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Bhai Satnam Singh announced that when Sri Guru Granth Sahib was stolen four months ago, the culprits had openly pasted posters on the walls of village claiming responsibility for the act, but the Administration and SGPC refused to follow up the matter. Expressing distrust in Indian law, he said nothing can be worse than that Sikhs are facing in current time. He asserted that Sikhs are being beaten, martyred and imprisoned, simply for demanding justice in desecration cases.

Disagreeing with the Punjab police’s claims of foreign hands behind the desecration incidents, he said that it is a totally well planned conspiracy of defaming Sikhs for the disrespect of their own Guru Sahib. He added that Bhai Rupinder Singh was the one who did Sewa of the torn ‘Angs’ of Sri Guru Granth Sahib on the first day of desecration reporting.

He said that anti-Sikh agencies are using Badals against Sikhs. He added that whenever the disciples of Ashutosh, Gurmeet Ram Rahim or other cult chiefs displayed violence in public areas, the Punjab police protected them while the Sikhs were always met with bullets when peacefully demanding justice.

The interview reveals that about seven members of Bhai Satnam Singh’s family were martyred in extra-judicial encounters by SSP Ajit Sandhu. Bhai Satnam Singh had filed case against Punjab police but he couldn’t even get death certificates for his family members.

The SGPC had rescinded it’s decision of expelling the Panj Pyare today.
