SANGRUR, Punjab—Sangrur MP and member of the Aam Aadmi Party, Bhagwant Mann has alleged that he is being framed by people with mischievous intentions. “Friends, false rumors are being spread to malign my name. There is no truth in the news of me being drunk [at the shaheedi samagam],” posted Bhagwant Mann on Facebook this morning.
“I cannot even think about committing such a mistake. This maybe an attempt to divert attention from important issues at hand,” he added.
After attending the bhog of Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Bhai Gurjit Singh in Faridkot, some people targeted Bhagwant Mann.
A video clip surfaced online yesterday in which one person is calling out Bhagwant Mann’s name and blaming him for being drunk whilst in Guru Sahib’s presence. At the same time, some other people can be seen questioning Bhagwant Mann on different issues. One person hands him a letter and tells him to adhere to Guru Sahib’s teachings if he wants to be a leader of the Punjabis.
