Sikhs started leaving Shiromani Akali Dal from the day it changed its agenda from Panthik to Punjabi. �Panthik Akalis were ousted from the party one by one and the non-Panthiks were seen as taking their place. �These�Akalis, which were brought in by Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tohra�s extreme vision, were forced to move to Congress.
Akali Dal under Presidency of Badal gave priority to cultural singers instead of Dhadis and Kavishars. Exceeding all limits, Akali Dal (Badal) invited actresses Priyanka Chopra on the inauguration of World Kabaddi Cup by spending large ransom.
Akali Dal (Badal) appointed notorious Police officer Sumedh Saini as DGP of Punjab, sledgehammering the sentiments of deceased families whose family members were extra-judicially killed by him. Moving further, Badal went to various cults seeking votes during elections.
I think the Sikh wrath can�t be calm down till the government doesn�t terminate the DGP Sumedh Saini from his post, till the offenders of desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib aren�t punished strictly, till the police personnel who martyred and injured Singhs in Kotakpura aren�t indicted under Section 302 of IPC, till the appointed five Takhat Jathedars aren�t dismissed and the Panth accepted Jathedars aren�t appointed.
