PATIALA, Punjab—Over the last few years, the oppressed Sikh community in India have once again slowly been becoming re- acquainted with their faith.
Finally there has been some movement in the youth to become Kesdhari and Amritdhari. The anti-Sikh lobby fear this. Giving a rousing speech to the thousands present at today’s sit-in protest in Samana, Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale said that this is the reason behind all the recent events.
This lobby is trying to provoke a response from the Sikhs, so that it can be given an excuse to suppress the youth once again.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa has said everything is being planned and there can be no doubt that this is the work of an agency.
He has demanded that the Government must present this agency in front of the nation; otherwise it looks like they will only be receiving Sauda Saadh votes and may as well forget about the Sikh vote.
These politicians do not fear God, they only fear the votes. From one Dharna at Kotkapura, all of Punjab has awoken and the state is in protest. It is the media age and any wrongdoing can no longer be hidden or brushed under the carpet.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa said these people will have to account to the Sikh youth of Punjab for every action. At the moment the Sangat is peaceful and will listen to the requests, they will protest, do their work and return to protest again. But if these agencies are not brought forward, then it will be difficult to send the people of Punjab back to their homes. It is their feeling that in the event a decision is not received by 25 October, it is likely such gatherings will surround the homes of ministers who will not be able to leave their homes. It was explained to the local communities that the protests are not to cause agitation to the people, but to bring awareness.
Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa sent a message to Hindu brothers in the community that Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji carries a universal message and is for all. Muslim brothers have been joining the Sikhs in protest also. In the same way if any other religious sacrilege was done to any other faith, the Sikhs would also join in for a just cause. We respect all faiths, and this is a religious issue, we are not thrilled by this, we are peaceful people but we are being pushed.
What else can we do when such religious sacrilege is being carried out but nothing is being done to put a stop to it or to find and punish those responsible? When we peacefully protest they fire bullets at us, we are arrested and we are beaten. Diwaans have been on hold where normally every three days, hundreds take Amrit. All Parcharaks involved are not doing Parchaar, this is what they want, that slowly Parchar stops, then strategically they will register some false cases to put a stop to it all. They want to stop the growing number of Sikhs in Punjab. This is all planned and agencies are behind it.
However, Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa advised the current activities is in one sense also Parchar. They said now is the time for all Sikh organisations and Parcharaks to show what we have always spoken about for years. If we don’t speak now, then when will we speak? Duties have been given to Singh’s to make some groups of ten and to cover a hundred villages per day. The groups have been asked to visit the village Panchayat and Gurdwara presidents, to tell them to arrange protection of the village Gurdwara’s using a rota system of five Singh’s in the Darbar Sahib during the day and five Singh’s outside the gates during the night.
It seems agencies have hired gangs who are going around to carry out the sacrilege. Some village Panchayat’s have boycotted the government, many SGPC members and MLA’s have resigned. Culprits have separated Guru Sahib limb by limb, if action is not taken by the Government, then in the same way their system will also be torn apart in the same way when no one will longer be with them. There’s also rumours that money is being distributed in villages to ask to remain in support.
Sikhs do not favour money, they do not favour any government, they are protesting because they are only in favour of Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa clarified he is affiliated with no political party, there is no interest in any political posts and this is not a stunt as some people will be thinking. He said we are here for Guru Sahib Ji, we don’t need to get fame. With Guru Sahib Ji’s grace, already on average 100,000 Sikhs come to the Gurmat Diwaans anyway. Sikhs are doing this for Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Shaheediya have been given for Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Sometimes when someone does not wake up, we splash water on their face and their eyes open. In the same way, it’s the blood of Shaheeds that awakens the nation.
