PATIALA, Punjab—Zinda Shaheed Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, who is on death row in the Beanta assassination case, has appealed to Sikh masses to remain aware of the current Akali party domination of Punjab.
Accusing the Akali government of lacking in investigative skills, he said that the incidents could have been controlled if government worked as it ought to.
In a letter, he further appealed to Sikh masses to identify their duties by ousting the Akalis in the upcoming 2017 assembly elections. He said that it would a tribute to the martyrs of the Bargadi incident, Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh and Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh.
Criticizing the roles of SGPC members, he alleged that the martyrdoms of Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh and Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh could be have prevented if the SGPC members served their duties honestly.
Lashing out at Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal for announcing Rs. 10 million rewards on the capture of the culprits, he stated that Sukhbir is playing with the Sikh sentiments.
