:dateline:Just days after being nominated as the legal adviser of the Akali Dal (B), Jaspreet Singh Attorney�has submitted his resignation. It has been learned that Jaspreet Singh�was under a lot of pressure to resign due to the on-going cases of sacrilege in Punjab.
Jaspreet Singh�s resignation has caused a major blow to the party structure in USA. It is believed that following his resignation, several other senior level members of the party will follow suit. �Not only does the resignation leaves the USA Akali Dal (B) in tatters, it has caused much embarrassment to the party leadership in Punjab as they had named Jaspreet Singh Attorney�as the legal adviser just days ago. �Narinderpal Singh Hunda and others are already in line to offer their resignations.
Jaspreet Singh Attorney�was seen as a key supporter of the Akali Dal (B). This past month, he had sought a noble peace prize for Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal.
Speaking with Sikh24 about Jaspreet Singh’s decision to resign, Gurjit Singh Jhampur said, “I really appreciate his decision to step down from his position and join the panth in this critical time. He gave proof of what a Sikh should be and we should support and appreciate his decision. We encourage other Sikhs who are with�Badal and BJP government to take Jaspreet Singh’s example and resign from their positions for the welfare of the kaum.”

I wonder why we need Akali/congress party representive, in USA or Canada. We should participate and support local political parties. Otherwise dirty politics from back home will rule our community.
