Sharing his personal experience during force feeding at PGI in June month, Bapu Surat Singh Ji Khalsa informed that a clean-shaven Government official wearing black goggles came to meet him at 11 pm on June 21. Bapu Ji said that the individual threatened him with serious consequences.
“The Governmentmessenger blamed me for disturbance of law and order in the state. He intimidated methat notorious Punjab police officers like KPS Gill, Izhar Alam etc. are still alive and they cooperate with Punjab police in tough circumstances,” said Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa.
Bapu Ji added that the Intelligence officer Hardeep Singh Dhillon also forced him to give up his hunger protest on August 5.
Bapu Ji’s Response to Incidents in Kotkapura
Strongly condemning the vandalism of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Kotkapura and massacres of Sikhs, Bapu Ji stated that Badal is a “cheap politician” whocan do anything to keep his post safe. Bapu Ji expressed disgust over the incidents in Kotkapura yesterday, in which thousands of Sikhs were cane-charged by the police.
It may be recalled that the Sangharsh Committee spearheading Bapu Jis struggle had announced to expose the Punjab Government on August 17 in Moga by holding a Press Conference. Consequently, on the same day, Bapu Jis son-in-law Bhai Satwinder Singh Bhola was murdered mysteriously outside his residential apartment in Peoria. Even after completion of two months of Bhai Bholas murder, the investigating agencieshave not been able to conclude their findings.
After Bhai Bhola’s murder, it was alleged that tracing his killers would be an extremely difficult task as this was not the first time a Sikh activist was murdered on foreign soil. Several other Sikh nationalists, including Bhai Jagwinder Singh (who attacked Ribeiro in Romania) were also assassinated mysteriously in foreign countries. Bhai Jagwinder Singh’s assassins are yet to be nabbed.
