ਨੈਣ ਤ ਪਰ ਸਕਯਥ   ਨਯਣਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਅਮਰੁ ਪਿਖਿਜੈ॥
naiṇ ta par sakyath   nayaṇ gur amar pikhijai.
The eyes are blessed only if Guru Amar Das is beheld by the eyes. – Bhatt Jaalap, Guru Granth Sahib, Page 1394

Message: We are reminded that our eyes and indeed our lives are blessed only if we see Guru Amar Das in our everyday tasks. We must see the Guru – the Guru’s vision – in all our actions. We must see God in all human beings. Thus in this way we will be reminded to do Godly things.

The vision of the Guru as a reminder of our divine purpose in our lives will help us to concentrate and learn by visualizing the Guru as the central focus in our lives –pancha ka gur ek dhian. We will also remember to place the Guru as a priority in front of all our worldly endeavours and thus be blessed by the presence of the Guru all the time. Doing so will bless us with divine and clear thinking which results in positive actions.
