:dateline:Vandals have stoked up hurtful sentiments in Sikhs worldwide after savagely damaging Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in village Bahauddin, district Sirsa, Haryana.
Sangat members, journalists and Police arrived there shortly after the news broke out. The police immediately formed a defence line around the suspected culprit who, it is reported, turned up at the scene also. No information about the suspect has currently been released.
The satkar sabha also arrived on the scene and together with locals expressed anger at the authorities and suspects.
A large presence of Sikhs sangata have become to form until through to the evening at the village.�
A ‘First Information Report’ (FIR) has been lodged with authorities with an expectation of a swift response to keep further disturbances from breaking out from �the upset community.
There have been a number of such incidents in the year so far. Many suspect that unscrupulous anti-Sikh elements are deliberately trying to stir up more tensions between the Sikhs and Hindus.
