CourAMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—A local court sentenced 6 Sikh youth in a case of planning to materialize a bomb blast. Sukhdev Singh received a penalty of seven years imprisonment and was fined Rs. 25,000. The rest of his aides – namely Gurinder Singh, Sher Singh Sangrur, Joga Singh Rattangarh and Gurmit Singh Bhikhiwind – received a penalty of 6 years of imprisonment and were fined Rs. 10,000 each.

The Punjab Police’s state operation cell had arrested these persons in 2010 claiming that they are members of the Khalistan Commando force (KCF) and were involved in terrorist activities. The police also claimed that 400g RDX and a big quantity of arms had been found from them.

As per the story planted by the police, these persons were to arrange bomb blast in various locations in the city. The police had claimed that these persons had also taken help from Pakistan.

The Punjab Police is infamous for planting framing Sikh youths under false cases. This practice of the police has ruined the future of countless Sikh youth.
