LUDHIANA, Punjab—In wake of hunger strike by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, a delegation will meet vice-president of India Hamid Ansari on August 10 to take up the issue of release of Sikh Political prisoners languishing in various jails of the country despite completion of their terms.
Confirming the programme, Committee member Jaspal Singh Hera said that the delegation would make the vice-president aware of the situation that prevails on the issue. The programme has been chalked out due to inaction of Centre and Punjab governments over the issue which is still unresolved.
