SPECIAL: Silence of Pakistan Militant Groups Creates Controversy over Gurdaspur Terror Attack

gurdaspur (1)—Although Indian security agencies are claiming that the militants who launched terror attack in Dinanagar of Gurdaspur district, belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba which is sponsored from Pakistan, however surprisingly no militant group from the terrorism hit Mulsim country has taken responsibility for the deadly attack so far.

The mystery over this fact deepens further by knowing that Pakistan has strongly condemned the attack in which a number of precious lives of innocent civilians have been lost.

In a statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the Government and people of India and wished for early recovery of injured persons.

Political experts opine that responsibility for the attack would have been announced by any Pakistan based militant organization if it would be the conspiracy of the latter.  Over social media, people have expressed surprise as these organizations have never delayed in taking the responsibility for any violent action they conspired.  This is likely the first time that a group has not taken the responsibility.

Sikh24 talked to different persons to know their perceptions on the attack. Almost half of them admitted that there may be a conspiracy due to ownership not being taken.

Some circles of Punjab politics suspect Badal’s hand behind the terror attack while some connect it with Hindu extremism.

In view of political landscape of Punjab, the terror attack has raised some serious questions. It is well known fact that “Modi Lehar” could not woo Punjabis during 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Even BJP’s senior leader Arun Jaitley lost the elections from Amritsar Lok Sabha segment. Its alliance partner Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) is also in dire straits these days. It faces big challenges from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and pro-freedom Sikh bodies that are agitating against the SAD-BJP government for not taking action to get Sikh political prisoners released from various jails of India. The agitation is turning into mass movement that could beleaguer the ruling parties in forthcoming assembly polls of 2017.  And the Gurdaspur terror attack has benefitted the state government politically in wake of the elections.  In light of this fact, some experts are speculating that there may be serious conspiracy behind the attack and it could be engineered by the internal elements backed by saffron forces.

In this context, it would be pertinent to mention the book “Who Killed Hemant Karkre? – The Real Face of Terrorism in India” authored by Maharashtra former IG MS Mushrif. This book is written on Police officer Hemant Karkre who was the then head of “Anti-Terrorist Squad” (ATS) of Maharashtra and was murdered under mysterious circumstances. The book exposes how Hindutva forces are active inwho killed karkre spreading terrorism in India for ensuring their dominance.

It comes out with some startling facts and analysis, the first of its kind, to expose the real actors behind the so-called “Islamic terrorism” in India whose greatest feat was to murder Karkare who dared to expose Hindutva forces and paid with his life for his courage and commitment to truth. While unearthing the conspiracy behind the murder of Karkare, this book takes a hard look at some of the major incidents including 26/11 attack on Mumbai attributed to “Islamic terrorism” in India and finds them baseless.

The book reveals that the right Wing Hindu terrorists groups have been causing bomb blasts in India; but their sympathizers in the Intelligence, in the Police and in the media are falsely blaming Muslims.

All these factors need to be analyzed and studied while investigating the whole matter and truth should be brought to fore.

  1. It is obviously a false flag operation…. trying to connect a peaceful struggle to extremist terrorism. To discredit a legitimate movement. Governments do it all the time do some research.

  2. Maybe because Indian Government is itself behind the “terrorist” attack? India is a dysfunctional democracy.
This has happened many times in the past as well in India.
