A Section of Indian Media continues to Link Gurdaspur Terror Attack with Sikhs

Anti-Sikh TacticsCHANDIGARH, Punjab—A section of India media is not stopping false propaganda against the Sikhs who are struggling to secure their human rights in India.  Various media organizations have continued to associate Gurdaspur terror attack with the on-going Sikh causes.

Irrespective of the investigation of the attack which found nothing about any associations with the pro-freedom Sikhs, the media groups are playing dirty game of defaming the Sikh community.  A Jalandhar based prominent newspaper agency “Punjab Kesri” which also publishes Punjabi daily “Jag Bani” has clearly termed the attack as a bid to revive militancy in the state. Same approach has been acquired many other Hindi newspapers.

Similarly, Hindi news Channels including India TV and Nation News are misleading the viewers by telecasting misinformation. Today, the channel Nation News broadcast special report on the attack and major portion of the report was on the point that Pakistan spy agency ISI has launched the deadly attack only to revive “Khalistani Attankwad”.

Sikh organizations have strongly  condemned these tactics by Indian media to malign image of the Sikh nation which is struggling peacefully and democratically for its rights. Also, the these tactics have hit media ethics and exposed real face of the media which hates Sikhs regardless of their sacrifices for India.
