:dateline:Police custody and harassment of Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda’s son Yadwinder Singh has continued. �He was arrested with the intention to build pressure on Bapu Surat Singh to end his hunger strike. �Yadwinder Singh was arrested near�his office located close to the Bathinda�bus stand on July 24 in the afternoon at 3:30pm.
Police has leveled charges of 107/151 of Cr.P.C. (Code of criminal procedure) against Yadwinder Singh. �He remains lodged in the Faridkot jail. �It has been alleged that Yadwinder Singh has been arrested to avoid disturbance of law and order in the state. �Police however has not been able to present any suitable answer as to why he was sent to Faridkot jail instead of Bathinda jail.
It is notable that six�Singhs related to Bapu Ji�s struggle remain detained at the Faridkot jail. Punjab police triggered the arrests of Amritdhari Sikhs in the state following the instructions of Badal government to break the building resistance.
