:dateline:In support of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa, two Singhs-Bhai Karamjit Singh and Bhai Jujhar Singh � started hunger strike at Gurdwara Baba Deep Singh Ajnala where Punjab Police went for barbaric activity against peaceful Sikh agitators on Sunday (July 19, 2015).
It is pertinent to mention that in order to prevent Sikhs to hold March from Ajanala to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the Police practiced barbaric way of lathicharge against them. Several Sikhs who were to lead or participate the March, were arrested on previous night. Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala of Damdami Taksal and his aides were put under house arrest. These Singhs have been released on bail.
The hunger strike launched by these two Singhs shows that the struggle initiated by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa for release of Sikh political prisoners gains huge momentum throughout Punjab.
