:dateline:SAD (Badal) senior leader and MP Prem S�Chandumajra who just returned from visit to Canada and
US, on Thursday expressed hope for restoration of credibility among Sikh diaspora.
Talking to media persons, he said that there were misunderstandings toward SAD (B) among Punjabi migrants and we has succeeded in reducing these misunderstandings.
He said that in order to ensure homecoming of those Sikhs who took political asylum abroad, they would ask Indian government to amend the related acts.
Citing reference of official of Indian embassies in Canada and US, he said that political asylum seekers lose their right to have Indian passport and enter their native country. Thus, he said, the Indian law associated with asylum seekers should be amended.
�Lacking consulate offices in desirous number in abroad, Punjabi migrants have to face many problems. Indian Home Ministry will be approached to open new offices there�, he said, adding, the matter of assets of Punjabi migrants has been brought to the notice of the Punjab government.
On the other hand, political experts say that SAD (B) leaders including Chandumajra are making these efforts to woo Sikh diaspora in view of forthcoming Punjab assembly elections-2017 as the party holds poor reputation among them. They said these leaders are experts in boasting and did nothing concrete for well being of the Sikhs victimized by Indian state. For instance, they failed to resolve the issue of Sikh black list.
Until Badal family and its associates remain in position of power the public sentiment will remain against the Akalis. it seems like there is no one else to run the affairs of government than the Badals. These representatives have positions in his administration so they must speak for their Boss.
Everyone knows the role of Badal in 1984 and years after to destroy the Sikh traditions and values. Badal family needs to be out of power and stopped from meddling in the affairs of Shri Akal Thakat Shaib and appointing his own men as Jathedars.
He can hope whatever he wants, but the Sikh diaspora knows for a fact that SAD Badal is a self-serving party that doesn’t care for Sikhs or Punjab.
Crumpled sheet of paper can never be made completely flat again. Once you’re reputation is damaged, it’s almost impossible to repair it.
