The march was organized by the Sangarsh Committee to build pressure on the Punjab Government to release Sikh political prisoners. �Sikhs in cars, jeeps, motorcycles and buses took part in the “Vangaar March” and raised slogans in favour of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa and sought the release of Sikh political prisoners.
Bibi Sarvarinder Kaur mentioned that day after day, Sikh youth in large numbers are arriving in Hassanpur. �She said that at the same time, police is also present in large numbers. �”Singhs expressed a lot of courage when they forced the police outside the neighborhood, however they are still monitoring�the condition,” she added.
Bibi Sarvarinder Kaur is the eldest daughter of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa. �She has accompanied Bapu Ji since he started his hunger strike on January 16, 2015 to seek release of political prisoners who have completed their terms.
