:dateline:Former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh paid obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib and Sri Akal Takhat Sahib during his Amritsar visit. �He was accompanied by�his wife Gursharan Kaur. Dr. Manmohan Singh arrived at Sri Harmandir Sahib via Guru Ram Dass Sran at 7 am and listened the divine kirtan inside Sri Harmandir Sahib for 10 minutes. He traversed the parikarma and partook�Karah Parsad.
Later, he was honoured by the SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar with a model of Sri Darbar Sahib, Siropao and religious books at the Harmandir Sahib Information Office.
Dr. Manmohan Singh wrote in the visitor book that Sri Harmandir Sahib is unique across the world from aspects of spirituality. It is notable that Dr. Manmohan Singh resided in the Circuit House on Saturday night and departed for Delhi on Sunday morning.
