:dateline:Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Jathedar Giani Mal Singh and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Avtar Singh Makkar on Thursday reached Swami Vivekanand Hospital to meet Sikh political prisoner Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar who is facing serious mental ailment and receiving medical treatment here.
Before meeting Prof. Bhullar, they met his wife Bibi Navneet Kaur Bhullar in presence of journalists. During the meeting, Bibi Bullar told them that improvement is being observed in health condition of her husband and she was satisfied over the efforts made by different sections of Sikhs including the SGPC for well being of her husband. She told that since he was shifted from Delhi�s Tihar jail to Amritsar jail, her husband is getting some relief.
She told that though there is no legal obstacle for it, but plea for his parole would be lodged only after his full recovery.
Later, they met Prof. Bhullar following which Makkar said that the nation is thankful to him for his sacrifice and the SGPC would provide every possible aid till his permanent release. He also announced to take responsibility of hiring legal counsel to pursue the case fairly.
They were accompanied by Manjit Singh, SSF (M) president Parmjit Singh Khalsa, Kulwinder Singh Ramdas publicity incharge and Gurwinder Singh Devidaspura
