ONTARIO, Canada—In a press release, the Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Canada) has expressed solidarity with the families of victims of Air Indian Flight 182 bombing. “30 years have gone by, and the Canadian investigations have failed to bring perpetrators to justice. The Government of Canada continues to ignore repeated calls from Canadian Sikh organizations to put in place a Royal commission to get to the bottom of this crime,” said S. Sukhminder Singh Hansra.

Hansra alleged that while the RCMP claims that the investigations are still ongoing, even after a very lengthy inquiry by Justice John Major, nothing has been achieved.  He added that the lack of action suggests that the Government of Canada is least interested in finding out the perpetrators of Air India Flight 182.

“A book written by two renowned journalists Zuhair Kashmeri from the Globe and Mail, and Brian McAndrew from Toronto Star revealed enough information on the case.  [Revelations] clearly state that the crime was conspired by the Indian Government,” added Hansra.

He blamed news agencies for continued misrepresentation of Sikhs in the Air India bombing case.  He added that a thorough investigation was extremely necessary.

  1. Yes, Sikhs MUST clear blame on us by revealing true FACTS, EVIDENCE on who actually did it, so world will not keep insisting Sikh genocide is minor versus air India
